2. get some food in J-town

J-town is a great place for everything Japanese to fresh fish,food and shopping in 1 place. The staff is Japanese and will speak Japanese to you if you speak Japanese to them. They also carry all the major Soft drinks in there store like Pocari Sweat (not a bad drink) to Ramune, and the only place I can find Bull Dog sauce. So if you ever want to come to J-town check out the links to help you get there.

I have a new show ready and topics are picked, but recording will not be done till Saturday (i know your pain too).  I got a twitter call from Mr Donald Burr of Otaku No Podcast ask me and gladiator about joining in a talk about an message fired off by bang zoom ent, As me Dj City an Ex-Anime fan (but do still watch) and Gladiator who does follow a little of the news (as it ties in music) where asked to join the panel.  So we join the  Otaku On Podcast panel.  Now 1 thing for sure is we didn’t have much to add, there 1 point that i was unable to make “I don’t care how much of Japanese, or culture you may know, but there some stuff that you will never get.  In a dub done right you get all the jokes”. I seen a lot of anime, and a lot does go over the head. Sometimes the dub is better than the sub, but that my 2 cents.

Tokyo police have arrested 38-year-old singer and actress Noriko Sakai on drug possession charges after she turned herself in at a Tokyo
police facility on Saturday evening. Sakai had been missing since Monday, when her husband, self-described professional surfer Yuichi Takaso, had also been arrested for alleged possession of illegal stimulants. The
police issued a warrant for Sakai’s arrest on Friday after they reportedly found stimulants and a straw used to inhale the drugs at her residence.
Police investigators allege that Sakai was a regular user after saying that they discovered traces of Sakai’s DNA in the saliva on the straw.

To start my first day was great lots of people alto of the panels where packed. the Panel “Podcasting 101″ was a full room. The panel group was me (Dj City), Enrico Bianco of  The Japanese Learner, Mike  Nicolas of  The Anime Roundtable, and Adam Grant of TATANS: Two Assholes Talking About Nerd Stuff, all and all went well. next was some other panel about living in Japan is was cool and all. The best part of anime north is the live tapeing of  The  Anime Roundtable podcast There where to be 2 room mics, well room mics failed. So off on day 2

Day 2

get to the con by 11 am. do a bit of shopping didn’t buy a dame thing, mostly looking for dvd to plug a series or two. I did find a cd I wanted but not sure, if I really wanted it . Meet up with Adam and Brent. I was invited to sit in TATANS a bit, and some weird content came up… really funny stuff  (it all in episode 9).  Then after that went around taking pictures. we went “The melting happy show” this was odd, fun and odd. it was a mix of Japanese game shows done on the cheep. I am working on getting the video up and on the net soon. so we wounder a bit more after that at 10 pm went back to the car picked up all my recorder gear to get the live mics to work. Coming back I owe Adam a drink, and then I gave one to James and Enrico got a shot also! well then The Anime Roundtable had a Adam with a good buzz, that was funny.  you have to listen to episode 75. The live mic kinda fail. went home.

Day 3

I was able to buy the cd on the last day. ran into James in the double tree and Adam msg me so I went to the TATANS day 2 tapping, helped out with the mics.  then ending up drinking with Adam and Brent, & Ashley (Cumslot) you need to listen to episode 75 of anime round table. also mike and james showed up. it was fun. then I went home after all done.
